Painting for me is like a breath of fresh mountain-air filling my heart with joy and immense peace - Sudha
I have a passion for painting and I am inspired by the beauty of nature from my own backyard to exotic places around the world. Photographs taken by me and my family during our international travels are often subjects of my art.
Originally from Bangalore, India, art was an integral part of my childhood. I always enjoyed creative crafts and spent much of my spare time sketching. After college I explored a variety of fine arts like batik, traditional Indian painting, art on glass, silk, cotton fabric and styrofoam sheets.

I broadened my art education through a Computer Graphic Design
program at the School of Communication Arts in Raleigh. I worked
as the Art Director for a magazine, THE ENSIGN which focuses on
boating education and safety. Along with computer aided art, I
incorporated pen and ink illustrations and watercolor paintings
in my work. Currently I am exploring the versatility of acrylic,
the transparency of watercolor and the creativity of mixed media.
As an artist, I strive to capture the moments and memories that I have experienced from places surrounding me. I hope to translate these wonders into art and that you too may share the same joy and emotion that have inspired me for many years.
